This latest body of work comprises abstract acrylic paint in monochrome, using restraint as a means of visual and emotional intensity. By limiting the palette, focus shifts to texture, gesture and the physicality of paint on canvas. Layers are built, erased and reworked, revealing traces of process and moments of tension between control and release.

Subtle tonal variations emerge through accumulation and subtraction, creating depth and rhythm within a minimal framework. The absence of colour encourages sustained viewing, inviting the eye to engage with the surface, movement, shape and spatial balance.
